On Wednesday, Elon Musk sent a strong verbal message to advertisers trying to blackmail his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, at the New York Times Dealbook Summit.
The message from Musk was simply, "Go f*ck yourself."
Andrew Sorkin, a financial columnist with the New York Times and co-anchor of CNBC's Squawk Box, interviewed Musk on stage about advertisers leaving X which prompted the owner of the popular social media site to state his true feelings on the matter.

View on XUnbothered by advertisers ditching the platform, Musk said: "I hope they stop. Don't advertise."
"You don't want them to advertise? What do you mean?" Sorkin asked.
"No," Musk replied. "If someone's going to try and blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f*ck yourself." He repeated it again slowly, "Go. F*ck. Yourself."
The Space X and Tesla CEO took aim at Disney CEO Bob Iger and said, "Hey, Bob!" directly after he told advertisers to f*ck off.

View on XThe ad withdrawal from corporations comes after the far-left publication Media Matters wrote an extensive hit piece on Musk accusing him of being antisemitic for not suppressing divisive opinions, and being dedicated to X being a free speech platform.
Several outlets such as Timcast, The Babylon Bee, and Benny Media, among others, have decided to commit tens of thousands on ad buys in an effort to support the platform's ideals.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
