BREAKING: Secret Service finds suspicious hunting stand overlooking Trump’s Air Force One landing zone in Palm Beach

Agents discovered the elevated platform on Thursday during routine security checks ahead of Trump’s arrival in Florida. The FBI has since taken over the investigation.

“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”

Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, said the discovery was made during “advance security preparations” and that there was no disruption to the president’s movements. “There was no impact to any movements and no individuals were present or involved at the location,” Guglielmi told Fox News.

He added that the agency is coordinating closely with both the FBI and local Palm Beach County law enforcement. “While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures,” he said.

A law enforcement source told Fox News that the stand appeared to have been in place “for months,” though officials have not linked it to any person.

The discovery comes just weeks after Ryan Routh was convicted of attempting to assassinate Trump on a Palm Beach golf course, where authorities said he had built a sniper’s nest hidden in bushes along a fence line.
