BREAKING: Texas GOP joins AZ In expressing no confidence in Ronna McDaniel
“The State Republican Executive Committee of the @TexasGOP joins the @AZGOP in unanimously expressing no confidence in @GOPChairwoman Ronna McDaniel and calling for new leadership at the RNC!”
Kirk tweeted, "BREAKING: The State Republican Executive Committee of Texas joins the Arizona GOP in 'unanimously expressing no confidence' in Ronna McDaniel as RNC Chair, calls for new leadership."
Rohit Joy, the Precinct 77 Chairman for Collin County GOP in Texas, tweeted, "The State Republican Executive Committee of the @TexasGOP joins the @AZGOP in unanimously expressing no confidence in @GOPChairwoman Ronna McDaniel and calling for new leadership at the RNC!"
Dhillon, who is currently an RNC committeewoman, said in a statement, "I feel that we owe it to our voters to have a serious debate about the leadership of the party and what we must change to actually win in 2024."
Former New York Republican candidate for governor Lee Zeldin has also said he could potentially run for the role, as has MyPillow founder Mike Lindell.
The RNC chairmanship is set to be decided at the group's annual winter meeting, where the committee's 168 members will meet in Dana Point, California in late January.
Laura Ingraham spoke about McDaniel's leadership during a segment on her Wednesday program, and said, "As we said last night, I said at the top of the show, the Angle likes Ronna McDaniel a lot. She's a wonderful person, but the results do speak for themselves. She's right about the House flipping, but it's time for change at the RNC."
McDaniel had bragged about the midterm elections which say the GOP retake the house at a smaller margin than polls predicted.
Ingraham said, "Her tenure needs to come to an end. Every incumbent in the Senate running for Senate, stayed in the Senate. There were no Republican flips of any of the seats held by incumbent Democrats. What is that all about? What about early voting?"
