Outside the Plymouth Superior Court on Thursday morning, defense attorney Kevin Reddington, who is representing Lindsay Clancy in the ongoing proceedings against the Massachusetts mother charged with killing her three children, said that letters of support from around the world have arrived for Clancy.
Reddington was peppered with questions from reporters as he went to enter the courthouse, with one asking, “I’m sure this has been excruciating for everybody involved. How are you feeling? How are you doing?”

View on X"Good. Fine,” said Reddington. “I mean, you know, the support has been great. You guys have been great. Look at these letters they have to deliver to her from all over the world. It’s just amazing.”
He said that Clancy "reads them all," and added when asked where the letters have come from, “You name a country.”
Reddington was also asked about the rising possibility of a second trial, as the jury currently deliberating has come back to the judge twice so far stating that they are unable to come to a unanimous decision. Judge William Sullivan read out the Tuey-Rodriguez charge to the jury on Wednesday, which urges jurors to reconsider their positions, but not abandon their sincerely held convictions to reach a verdict. The charge is typically given only once, and the jury cannot be sent back into deliberations without their consent.
Reddington said he would “try it again” if the case resulted in a mistrial, and that he wouldn’t do anything differently if the case ended up going to a second trial.
A reporter asked, “Some people say a second trial would favor the prosecution. What do you think about that?” Reddington replied, “Bring it."
When asked about his comments that he could be ready to retry the case “next week” if it came to it, Reddington said, “I got witnesses lined up, we’re all set. You know, Dr. Resnick is ready, I’m ready, we’ve got all our evidence, witnesses who are available, so let’s go.”
He said, however, that he wouldn’t expect a retrial so soon, saying, “They’ll try to kick it off in six months or a year, but we’re gonna do it quick.”
Supporters of Clancy have held rallies both outside the courthouse and around the world to show their support for the admitted child killer. Women in the courtroom have been wearing pink, a color supporters have chosen to wear, and some have taken to social media to express that they understand what Clancy was going through. Clancy's defense has claimed that she was suffering from postpartum mental illness when she strangled her three young children to death and attempted to kill herself.
