Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is openly fundraising on behalf of her pending-indictment against former President Donald Trump, which has sparked heavy criticism from lawmakers that allege Willis is "abusing the law."
The fundraising website was launched while the Fulton Grand Jury debates on whether or not Trump should be criminally charged over the recommendations brought forth by Willis.
Willis sent an email to supporters on Thursday announcing that her team has created a donation page, according to Atlanta News First.
"Friend, we wanted you to know first that our new website is up and ready for you to share with your friends and family. Sign up to volunteer, host an event, and continue to support the team! Thank you for your continued support to build a brighter future for Fulton County. With gratitude, Team Fani," the email reads.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called for Willis' removal from office.
"Just days ago, Fani Willis launched her brand new fundraising website to capitalize on her illegal indictment of President Trump. Fani has big ambitions in the Democrat Party. She’s abusing the law and her office to make a name for herself. REMOVE HER!" she said on Twitter.

View on XWillis stated earlier this year that she intended to make a "historical decision" regarding her probe this summer.
On Monday, Willis' office published a document online that outlined charges against former President Donald Trump. The document had been posted online before the Grand Jury had made their decision. This sparked a significant backlash among GOP lawmakers, some of whom called for her removal from office and for the lawsuit to be dismissed.
The document obtained by Reuters reveals that Willis has recommended 13 charges against Trump, 12 of which are felonies, with one listed as a "serious felony."
These charges include violations of the state Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, Conspiracy To Commit Forgery in the First Degree, Filing False Documents, and Conspiracy To Commit Impersonating a Public Officer, among others, all related to alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
Trump, who is the current frontrunner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, slammed the pending indictment as both a "witch hunt" and "election interference."
In a Truth Social post on Monday, the former President wrote: "I UNDERSTAND THROUGH ILLEGAL LEAKS TO THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA THAT PHONEY FANI WILLIS, THE D.A. OF FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA, WANTS DESPERATELY TO INDICT ME ON THE RIDICULOUS GROUNDS OF TAMPERING WITH THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. NO, I DIDN’T TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION! THOSE WHO RIGGED & STOLE THE ELECTION WERE THE ONES DOING THE TAMPERING, & THEY ARE THE SLIME THAT SHOULD BE PROSECUTED. I MADE A PERFECT PHONE CALL OF PROTEST. WHY WASN’T THIS FAKE CASE BROUGHT 2.5 YEARS AGO? ELECTION INTERFERENCE!"

The district attorney also intends to seek indictments against at least 12 other people, alleging that Trump and his associates "coordinated attempts to unlawfully alter the outcome of the 2020 elections" in Georgia.
