‘Go to China to see how gun control works’: Chinese immigrant, GOP Congressional candidate blasts David Hogg on 2A rights

Lily Tang Williams, who escaped the communist regime in China, told Hogg he should learn how gun control works in China under the Chinese Communist Party.

"I am a Chinese immigrant who survived communism. And under Mao, you know, 40 million people were starving to death," Williams began. "And 20 million people died—murdered during his Cultural Revolution. So, my question to you, David, is that can you guarantee me, a gun owner tonight, our government in the US, in DC, will never, never become a tyrannical government?"

Hogg could not make the reassurance to Williams.

She then responded, "Well then the debate on gun control is over because I will never give up my guns," she added. "And you should go to China to see how gun control works for the dictatorship of the CCP."

Williams posted a clip of the video and said that she was grateful for the opportunity to debate the topic with Hogg.

"I love to see more open discussions & debates on our college campuses," she posted.

Williams added, "Even though I disagree with David, but we shook hands at the end respectfully. I urge him to do some research on Mao's Red Guards. I am hoping someday, he will get it."

Hogg rose to prominence as a gun control activist during marches and protests for gun control after he survived the Parkland high school shooting in Florida and has become a large left-wing activist for gun control.
