View on RumbleBoebert yelled out at the president, mentioning the 13 service members that were killed in an explosion during the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in August.
The yell came during a segment in which Biden was talking about his "Unity Agenda for the Nation." This included four things, with the third being support for veterans.
"I’ve always believed that we have a sacred obligation to equip all those we send to war and care for them and their families when they come home," Biden said. "My administration is providing assistance with job training and housing, and now helping lower-income veterans get VA care debt-free."
Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan faced many dangers," he continued. "One was stationed at bases and breathing in toxic smoke from “burn pits” that incinerated wastes of war—medical and hazard material, jet fuel, and more."
"When they came home, many of the world’s fittest and best trained warriors were never the same. Headaches. Numbness. Dizziness. A cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin," Biden added, referencing his son Beau Biden, a veteran, who died of brain cancer.
It was after Biden delivered the line regarding service members coming home in flag-draped coffins that Boebert yelled from the crowd: "You put them in, 13 of them," referencing the 13 flag-draped coffins that were flown home from Afghanistan after an explosion outside an airport killed them amidst the chaotic withdrawal.
Boebert’s yell from the crowd was met with some boos from the audience.
"Ramping domestic energy production will tame inflation, boost our economy, and secure the safety and security of the United States of America and our allies," Boebert told Fox News.
Boebert, alongside fellow Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, also broke out into chants of "build the wall" during Biden’s talking points on immigration.
The shouts from the crowd drew criticism from fellow Congress members.
"Boorish, rude, absolutely disgraceful. There is a First Amendment but there is also decorum and respect for the commander in chief and president of the United States," Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, said of the comments.
Republican Sen. Mike Braun, also criticized the interruptions, telling Fox News: "I think that whenever you do that, regardless of who's doing it, directed at which president, which party, probably not the right thing to do."
