A federal immigration judge in Louisiana released four illegal immigrants from ICE custody who are convicted of multiple heinous crimes, including murder and child sex crimes. The Obama-appointed judge released the illegal immigrants from ICE custody on February 6.
Judge John deGravelles, who sits on the bench of the Middle District Court of Louisiana, released four illegal immigrants from ICE custody, the Department of Homeland Security said.
"The ramifications will only be the continued rape, murder, assault, and robbery of more American victims," said Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Releasing these monsters is inexcusably reckless. President Trump and Secretary Noem are now enforcing the law and arresting illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country."
"We are applying the law as written," she added. "If an immigration judge finds an illegal alien has no right to be in this country, we are going to remove them. Period," she added.
Among those released was Ibrahim Ali Mohammed, an Ethiopian national convicted of sexually exploiting a minor. He was issued a final removal date of September 5, 2024 but was released into the US by the Biden administration.
The second is Luis Gaston-Sanchez, a Cuban national, who has been convicted of homicide, resisting arrest, concealing stolen property, and other charges. He was issued a deportation order on September 24, 2001, but has remained in the US.
Another Cuban national, Ricardo Blanco Chomat, has been convicted of homicide, kidnapping, aggravated assault with a firearm, robbery, burglary, selling cocaine, and larceny. Although he was given a deportation order on March 27, 2002, he has still been in the US.
Illegal immigrant Francisco Rodriguez-Romero has also been convicted of homicide and weapons charges. Although he was ordered to be deported on May 30, 1995, he remained in the US and was released by the judge.
