Obama demolished for comparing Trump’s decor to Cheesecake Factory after adding massive eyesore to Chicago’s skyline
“He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”

A slew of social-media influencers weighed in on the glaring hypocrisy following former President Barack Obama’s attempt to mock his successor’s decorating sensibilities at a weekend campaign speech.
“Does anybody really think this guy in the White House right now is spending all that time thinking about these issues?” Obama said of President Donald Trump during a rally Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio.
“I, I, I mean, I, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations,” Obama continued. “He should be on HGTV. And there’s gold everywhere. ... He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”

View on XObama also mocked the presidential ballroom currently under construction as being “bigger than the White House.”
But he was swiftly brutalized by conservative commentators on social media and elsewhere, who noted that his $850 million presidential library in Chicago had been widely panned as an architectural monstrosity and an eyesore for local residents, the New York Post reported.
“I'm still laughing about the guy who spent a billion dollars building this hideous eyesore on Chicago's south side, taking shots at President Trump's design changes at the White House,” said MAGA influencer Vince Langman, a self-described “ex-con deplorable.”

View on XFox News host and comedian Jimmy Failla referred to the unsightly structure as an “intergalactic porta potty” while Darren Kelly, a retired construction worker turned X influencer, called it a “giant concrete trash can/outhouse replica.”

View on XMatt Whitlock, a GOP communications official, slammed Obama’s library as a “wizard prison” while also noting that the disdainful one-liner was an insult to everyday, middle-class Americans who enjoy going to the high-calorie restaurant chain.
“Classic Obama snobbery,” Whitlock wrote. “Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who can’t afford a private chef at their Martha’s Vineyard estate.”
Obama’s former personal chef, Tafari Campbell, died at the estate in 2023 under mysterious circumstances, ostensibly due to a paddleboarding accident in a 3-foot-deep pond.
Podcaster and columnist Evan Barker also criticized Obama for the tone-deaf assumption.
“Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?” she wrote.
