REVEALED: Dem donors were buyers of Hunter Biden’s ‘art work’

When he was asked about which donors bought paintings from the president's son, responded with "no comment" when he was confronted with reporters on Tuesday.

Georges Bergès, who owns an art gallery in New York that sells some of Hunter Biden's work, was confronted by two reporters while walking around the Capitol Hill complex. When approached by the reporters, one asked, "Mr. Bergès... can you tell me which donors bought the paintings?" Bergès simply replied, "No comment."

An investigation into Hunter Biden's art deals revealed that buyers of the paintings included Democratic donors Kevin Morris and Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali. Morris is a personal friend of Hunter's. Morris was revealed in October to have previously acquired Hunter Biden’s stake in the Chinese investment company Bohai Harvest RST, in doing so assuming $250,000 in debt from an unpaid loan given to Hunter Biden by Chinese business associates. That loan listed President Joe Biden's Delaware home as the beneficiary address.

Morris bought the majority of Hunter's artwork and has also helped him with legal troubles. Bergès has received $875,000 from Morris for the artwork, according to the Daily Mail.

The outlet reported that Bergès would never reveal who the buyers of Hunter's work to him. However, according to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail that were familiar with Bergès' interview in Congress on Tuesday, Bergès "admitted" that Hunter "knew the identities" of individuals who had spent money on 70 percent of his artwork.

Naftali paid $42,000 in February 2021 and then $52,000 in December of 2022 for another piece of artwork. She was appointed to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in between the first and second purchase.

In a letter sent to Oversight Committee Chairman Comer in August 2023, an attorney for Naftali attempted to discredit what the letter called “numerous false allegations” about her connection with President Biden and Hunter.

The letter stated further, “Any insinuation that her purchase of art was unusual or somehow improper is entirely unsupported. ... To be clear, Ms. Naftali purchased the artwork solely because she liked the art, and the prices were reasonable ... never at any time did she have direct or indirect contact with anyone at the White House regarding any art purchased.”

House Republicans are scheduled to have a markup meeting on Wednesday on a resolution recommending that the House of Representatives find Hunter Biden in Contempt of Congress in Oversight Committee. The House Judiciary Committee will also be represented at the markup.
