A Haitian illegal immigrant that was charged with raping a disabled person was let out of jail in Boston after the Dorchester District Court chose not to honor an immigration detainer from the city.
The illegal migrant was arrested again just recently by the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) of Boston on Jan. 9.

“The men and women of ERO Boston continue to protect the community from those who pose a real public safety threat to our communities. We remain strongly committed to protecting residents in communities by apprehending those who are not lawfully present in this country and pose a threat to public safety. This remains central piece of our mission.”
The 31-year-old Haitian national arrived at the port of entry at Brownsville Texas in December 2022. He was deemed inadmissible, according to an ICE news release, but was issued a notice to appear in court in Boston. The man was arrested in September of 2023 by Boston Police for rape and indecent assault and battery on a developmentally disabled person.
After he was arrested for rape and indecent assault against a developmentally disabled person, ERO Boston sought to detain the illegal immigrant. The Dorchester District Court did not honor the request and set him free with a monitoring device on Nov. 8, 2023, pending a trial.
After becoming aware he was out in the city, ERO Boston rearrested the national without incident on Jan. 9.
