The Christmas Swattings: List of conservatives and lawmakers who were swatted at during Christmas 2023

Jack Posobiec, Jonathan Turley, Senator Rick Scott, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Brandon Willis, Greene's daughters, the Delaware computer repair shop owner who came into possession of Hunter Biden's laptop, Georgia State Senators John Albers, Kim Jackson, Kay Kirkpatrick, Clint Dixon, and Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones all had police called to their homes over fabricated violence.

On Christmas Eve, the parents of Human Events' Jack Posobiec were swatted after an anonymous called reported to police that he has shot his parents and was threatening to shoot his wife and children. On Christmas, they were swatted again, this time the caller told officers that Posobiec had shot his wife and sons in the kitchen.

"My parents were just Swatted," Posobiec said after the first incident. "Everyone is fine. Law enforcement are fully involved and tracking down the perpetrator."

After the second incident, on Christmas Day, Posobiec's brother Kevin shared video saying "Swatted on Christmas. There's not a war on Christians. Keep scrolling."

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was also swatted on Christmas Eve and Christmas. This, she said, was "like the 8th time." Her family was at her home for the holiday. She praised her local police in Rome, Georgia, saying "My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this. I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!"

In Greene's case, it was a New York caller who placed a call to the Georgia suicide hotline on Christmas morning. This caller claimed that he'd killed his girlfriend and was planning to kill himself, at Greene's home. The call went from the suicide line to police as soon as it became clear that this call was directed at MTG's home.

Greene said that her daughters were also swatted as the criminals who made the calls began harassing her family, as well.

Greene replied to Posobiec, saying "I’m glad your family is safe. I’ve been swatted 7 times. It’s extremely serious and they want you killed by police who think they are responding to something awful as you described. These people are evil. They need the joy of the birth of Christ and know him as their savior."

John Paul Mac Isaac, the computer repair shop owner who came into possession of Hunter Biden's infamous "laptop from hell" and turned it over to the FBI in 2019, and then to Rudy Giuliani in 2020, also said that he was swatted.

"My home was swatted tonight," he posted. "I was not home but the outstanding men and women of the Wilmington PD responded quickly and professionally. All that was achieved was the wasted time of the Wilmington PD. NOTHING, let me repeat that, NOTHING will take me out of this fight! Cheers!"

Greene wasn't the only Georgia elected who suffered a swatting incident. Lt. Governor Burt Jones was also swatted, this time on Wednesday night. Additionally, he said that there was a bomb threat at his office on Thursday morning.

Fox 5 Atlanta also reported that Senators John Albers (R-Dist. 56), Kim Jackson (D-Dist. 41), Kay Kirkpatrick (R-Dist. 32) and Clint Dixon (R-Dist. 45) were also swatted on Christmas. Albers commented to local news, saying "This is a sad criminal act which put the lives of first responders and citizens at risk. We will hunt down and prosecute these faceless cowards."

New York's Brandon Willis, who represents the upstate cities of Syracuse and Utica in the US House, was swatted as well. "Our home was swatted this afternoon," he posted. "Thanks to the Deputies and Troopers who contacted me before arriving. They left with homemade cookies and spiced nuts! Merry Christmas everyone!" Capitol Police are additionally investigating, he said.

Senator Rick Scott of Florida was swatted as well at his home. "Last night, while at dinner with my wife, cowards 'swatted' my home in Naples. These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family." Scott thanked officers "for all they do to keep us safe." The anonymous caller told emergency dispatch that there had been a shooting at Scott's home.

Legal scholar and commentator Jonathan Turley was also swatted, this time on Friday night as the New Year's holiday weekend began. "Yes, I was swatted this evening. It is regrettably a manifestation of our age of rage," Turley said in a statement. "However, we are grateful to the Fairfax police officers who were highly professional and supportive in responding to this harassment." For Turley, this came shortly after he spoke out against the crime and the perpetrators thereof in an interview with Fox Digital.

Former Nebraska State Senator Adam Morfeld was swatted on Christmas by someone claiming he Morfeld was going to commit suicide. Merry Christmas to all, except for the jerk who called 911 pretending to be me claiming I was going to kill myself. I appreciated Lincoln Police’s professionalism and response along with my neighbors calling to let me know what was going on," Morfeld wrote.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who came under fire recently for holding a segregated holiday party for "electeds of color" and then defended the practice, only apologizing for accidentally sending the invitation to electeds who were white, was swatted as well. A caller told police that a man had shot his wife at Wu's home. "For better or worse my family are a bit used to it by now, and we have a good system with the department," Wu said.
