A young rapper was killed in an FBI-involved shooting in a Chicago suburb on Wednesday, just two days after a separate FBI-related shooting left another man dead.
The shooting occurred around 7 am in the south suburb of Dixmoor. 22-year-old Chadwick Clark, who performed under the name Lowick, was killed after shots were fired during a federal warrant being served. The FBI did not immediately provide details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the agency said in a statement, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”
Clark had faced several criminal charges in recent years. He was arrested in November 2023 for fleeing the scene of a car crash that severely injured two people. The following year, he was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and a loaded handgun. He was also wanted on a warrant for an armed robbery in Indiana, though that case was later dismissed.
In September of last year, Clark pleaded guilty to failing to report an accident and to weapons charges. He was sentenced to three years in prison, with credit for more than eight months already served.
Clark’s sister, Nia Cole, said she was left “completely heartbroken” by the incident. She admitted her brother made “violent music,” but argued it wasn't reflective of who he was.
“All the guns that he had in his videos were prop guns,” she said. “All he talked about was getting off parole and taking care of his daughter.”

View on InstagramThe shooting came just two days after a separate fatal shooting involving an off-duty FBI agent. In that case, the agent was driving home in an FBI vehicle from work when he saw a man “discharging a firearm into a group of innocent people.” The agent intervened after shots were fired and opened fire on the gunman, identified as 27-year-old Oscar Isaya-Corrales.
Isaya-Corrales was an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who had been “taken into custody at the border and subsequently released” during the Biden administration, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
