Containers filled with hardened concrete that were made to appear like chocolate chip ice cream were discovered in Lower Manhattan near a recent George Floyd protest, putting the NYPD on alert Monday.

The concrete was poured into to-go coffee cups and even have dark spots sprinkled throughout to give it the look of chocolate chips.

These containers were found in a window ledge near the Worth Street entrance to the Manhattan Supreme Court on June 3, according to the New York Post.

“The Cups were filled with cement and made to look like CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM,” part of the alert read.

There was no immediate report that the concrete-filled containers had been used against the police, but the NYPD was nevertheless told to stand watch.

Officials have said that while most of the events have been peaceful, there are looters and anarchists who covertly steal, vandalize, and make it a point to assault the police.

The department has also warned of the possibility of concrete-filled tennis balls and water bottles, and Commissioner Dermot Shea has suggested that looters are strategically stashing away bricks prior to the protests.

The disguising of would-be projectiles and weapons to look like every day objects is a tactic that Antifa activists have used before, and during other protests.

It was nearly a year ago that journalist Andy Ngo was attacked at a Portland protest by activists who were using objects that looked like milkshakes to injure people.

At the time, "Police... noted that the violent protestors were mixing quick dry cement with milkshakes in order to further harm their targets with potential chemical burns."

Ngo, who is an editor-at-large for The Post Millennial, recently filed suit against an Antifa member group, seeking damages for their assault and harassment of him.

NYPD did not release further information as to the origin of these objects.
