The subscriber might just be talking to a bot.
The cost to access an OnlyFans site starts with subscription fees covering basic communication but any follow-up services can cost hundreds of dollars a pop.
OnlyFans content creators prepare their videos but don’t have enough hours in the day to provide personal service to every site member. They used to hire cheap foreign workers to provide the chat and that’s why so much of it is almost unintelligible because the chatters sometimes can barely speak English. But now with the increasing emergence of AI, OnlyFans hosts are moving to the new technology to lure subscribers into paying for more services, Vice noted.
OnlyFans hosts are using services like Supercreator, ChatPersona, and FlirtFlow to generate conversations and keep their clientele buying pictures and videos or having video chats. They often sound just like the real thing and the language might even ring true. Subscribers won't realize they are listening to a recording because the “person” is actually responding to your specific comments. But ultimately, none of it is even remotely real.
The AI products are similar but some are better than others in terms of convincing subscribers that the chats are with real people. ChatPersona might create an AI response but the OnlyFans host has to hit send to the client. Supercreator can actually detect when subscribers come online and initiate conversations with them. Once the bait is taken, the host can decide to jump in and really make some money with tips and convincing the user to buy extra services. But the subscriber might just be talking to a bot.
Eden, a former OnlyFans host who is now a talent agent, told Vice that AI is a great way to focus on the biggest spenders but can backfire if it completely dominates the conversation and replaces all personal contact. But like any AI intervention in business and the economy, the process begs the question as to whether human beings will be able to control the extent of AI’s influence or become casualties of the technology.
