"More scandals. More corruption. More cover-ups. That is what Canadians can expect from Justin Trudeau and the Liberals," said O'Toole.

Conservative Party Leader Erin O'Toole issued a following statement on Thursday, regarding Prime Minister Trudeau’s "failure to fire" Minister of National Defence Harjit Sajjan.

"Justin Trudeau won’t fire Minister Sajjan, and Minister Sajjan won’t resign. Canadians want the scandals, corruption, and cover-ups that have taken root in Liberal Ottawa to end.

O'Toole called out Sajjan recently for misleading Canadians about his service, mismanaged the Canadian fighter jet fleet, and covered up the military's alleged sexual misconduct firestorm.

"The decision to fire Minister Sajjan will ultimately be made by voters, now that the corrupt Trudeau government has made it clear that they don’t care about eliminating sexual misconduct in the military.

"While this Liberal government covers up for the old boys’ club, Canada’s Conservatives will continue standing up for the women of the Canadian Armed Forces who deserve better.

"Today, Conservatives will be asking the House to formally censure Minister Sajjan, who has clearly lost the respect of members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and the moral authority to implement the changes needed to eliminate sexual misconduct in our military.

"More scandals. More corruption. More cover-ups. That is what Canadians can expect from Justin Trudeau and the Liberals. There is only one choice to end their corruption and secure accountability in Ottawa – Canada's Conservatives."
