The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) published a reminder of the potential harms of drunk driving. The post came after an allegedly impaired woman drove into an OPS cruiser near Joys Rd. and Franktown Rd. on Monday.

"The 44 year old woman (driver) is facing charges including operation while impaired and operation causing bodily harm," the post said.

The officer is recovering from his injuries at home.
