Pizza Hut is facing calls for a boycott after the pizza chain included a number of books regarding the LGBTQ community in their June reading list, including one about a child drag performer.
The books are part of Pizza Hut’s Camp Book It! program in which children ages four to 12 can read books between June and August to redeem a free pizza.

Books included for the month of June, which is pride month, include "Be Amazing," "Big Wig," and "Perfectly Pegasus."
People on social media took particular issue with Big Wig, in which a child participates in a drag competition, becoming B.B. Bedazzle in the process.
"When a child dresses in drag to compete in a neighborhood costume competition, he becomes B. B. Bedazzle! A key part of B.B. Bedazzle’s ensemble is a wig called Wig. Together they are an unstoppable drag queen team! But Wig feels inadequate compared to the other, bigger wigs. When Wig flies off B.B.’s head, she goes from kid to kid instilling confidence and inspiring dreams in those who wear her," the book’s publisher, Simon and Schuster, states on their website.
In response to the inclusion of the book, Twitter users called for a boycott of the pizza chain, with author Nick Adams stating: "Pizza Hut has gone woke, now they must go broke."

ACT for America founder and chairman Brigitte Gabriel urged people to order pizzas from their local shops instead of through Pizza Hut.
Pizza Hut has gone full woke, now we must make them full broke.

Others joined the call for boycotts as well.
First, no self respecting Italian eats Pizza Hut.

I cannot boycott them because I have been boycotting them my entire life.
But I can inform other people of what they are doing. https://t.co/lz6OTpEtef
Should we boycott @pizzahut? https://t.co/epZ8yaaYtK

We are gonna be a lot healthier of a nation with the Pizza Hut and Burger King boycotts. These CE0s are gonna wind up working as bathroom cleaners. Not too bright! It's easy to boycott these garbage bins of the food world.

Pizza Hut has decided to join in on the trans cult and recommend drag books to kids in Pre-K and up. I don't know who told these corporations it's ok to teach perverse sexuality to little children but we will end it. I will never order from @pizzahut again.

The list of books also includes "Be Amazing" by teen writer Desmond Napoles, who is a drag performer known by the name Desmond is Amazing. The book, aimed at children ages three to six, talks about the history of the LGBTQ community.
