A Sherbrooke couple were charged with sizeable fines for violating the 8 PM curfew order. The wife however, contests the ticket and claims she was only walking her dog. Her dog in this case, was her husband wearing a leash. Quebec rules stipulate that people may only be outside during curfew to walk their dogs.

According to CTV, the couple each received $1,500 fines by Sherbrooke police for violating curfew. This was on Saturday, after they were caught walking at 9 p.m.
Quebec authorities have given out hundred of fines, worth thousands of dollars. Anyone caught outside after 8PM will be subject to this fine, unless they are walking their dog.
