'Scamala Harris' hits #1 trending topic on X after Indian comedian says she's 'scammed 250 million people'

"No Indian I know from the call centers to email phishing, no Indian I know has scammed 250 million people. Not bad Kamala, that’s pretty good numbers."

"Scamala Harris" hit the number one trending position on X Thursday as people criticized the "scam" of the Kamala Harris campaign.

The trend appears to have taken off from videos by TikTok creator Brandomino Effect, who has been referring to Harris as "Scamala" since at least August and has been making content surrounding how the Indian community "will not be voting for Scamala Harris."

"After much self-reflection, I have come to the realization that there is one thing very Indian about you," Brandomino Effect said in one video. "And that is that you became the Democratic nominee without a single vote." Harris’ mother is Indian and her father is Jamaican.

"B*tch you pulled the biggest scam of all time. No Indian I know from the call centers to email phishing, no Indian I know has scammed 250 million people. Not bad Kamala, that’s pretty good numbers. If you manange to actually win the election, you will have pulled off the biggest Indian scam of all time," he added.

"From here on out, your new name is not Kamaltoe actually, it is now Scamala Harris," he concluded in the video that was originally posted to TikTok on August 8.

He wrote on X as the phrase hit the top trending spot on the platform, "SCAMALA HARRIS IS #1 TRENDING ON X I CANT BELIEVE IT."

Others on X chimed in on the "scam" of Harris’ campaign. Harris entered the race in July after Joe Biden bowed out amid pressure from Democrats following June’s disastrous debate against Trump. Harris did not receive a single vote during the primaries, and was named the Democratic candidate in August ahead of the Democratic National Convention. Her nomination was secured with a virtual roll call and the convention, an event set aside to nominate candidates, was reframed as an event to celebrate Harris.

"Not one person voted for Scamala Harris," wrote Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec. "And now she is the Democrat nominee. The biggest scam in American history."

"Scamala Harris is afraid of the press," commentator Brick Suit wrote, including a graphic that showed how few interviews Harris has taken part in compared to Trump and JD Vance.

"Not one person voted for Scamala Harris," another user noted.
