Social justice educator 'exploring legal remedies' after her own father claimed she lied about her background

Castro-Gill was exposed by The Daily Wire to have lied about her upbringing, married a child molester, and allegedly pressured her child into becoming gender-nonbinary

Tracy Castro-Gill, who previously served as Seattle Public Schools' Ethnic Studies Program Manager, has been revealed to allegedly engage in racism towards white people while indoctrinating students through unapproved "anti-racism" coursework.

Last week, in an excerpt from a new book by Luke Rosiak, Race To The Bottom: Uncovering the Secret Forces Destroying American Education published in The Daily Wire, Castro-Gill was exposed as having lied about her upbringing, married a child molester, and allegedly pressured her child into becoming gender-nonbinary. She recently announced in a Facebook post that she will be "exploring legal remedies to this personal attack full of lies and misinformation." Her father was the one who led the charge.

Castro-Gill's father said that she had lied about her background in the Latino culture and community, and had not been homeless as a child, as she had claimed. He compared her to Rachel Dolezal, who notoriously lived like as a black woman despite being white. In contrast, he said Castro-Gill can't speak Spanish and had a middle-class upbringing.

Castro-Gill chose to slam those who had issued these claims against her. "In response to the hit piece written by Luke Rosiak in the Daily Wire: I am unsurprised that my work and my personal life have come under attack by the likes of Luke Rosiak and Ben Shapiro. It is only evidence that the work I do and the life I live are important and full of good deeds. I thank them for the affirmation."

She said that her father "is a deeply troubled, ultra conservative, conspiracy theorist and doomsday prepper. He is driven by his need to assimilate into the dominant culture and is convinced that the government and 'liberals,' most notably Black Americans, are out to get him. He equates poverty with being a bad father, and is angry that I told the world we were poor growing up. Through no fault of his own, my Mexican-American father was not able to provide a steady income for our family until he took advantage of affirmative action laws in California in the late 80’s. He’s nothing if he’s not a hard worker."

She wrote additionally that "This most recent attack relies on the thoughts and perspectives of individuals that do not and have not been in relationship with me for years, exposing the desperation of conservative pundits to undermine my anti-racist work. I am currently exploring legal remedies to this personal attack full of lies and misinformation. I’m working closely with my professional partners who fully support me. I appreciate those of you who have reached out publicly and privately to offer your support. Onward."

Despite her controversial past, Castro-Gill was awarded Washington State's Regional "Teacher of the Year" for the 2018-2019 school year. She was paid $93,000 per year for her service.

When questioned about the vetting process for selecting award recipients, the Office of Public Intrusion told The Post Millennial that there is, in fact, no vetting process.

"OSPI does not run a vetting process. We rely on the process completed at the local and regional levels, which is informed by individuals with direct experience with the candidates," Katy Payne said, OSPI Executive Director of Communications.

Dare to criticize the social justice crusader's controversial coursework? She will blast concerned parents online and label them "racist."

After a parent reached out to Seattle Public Schools (SPS) to complain about Castro-Gill's blatant indoctrination, the teacher published a disturbing blog post titled "Uncle Ike's Racist Wife" in retaliation.

Uncle Ike's is a Jewish-owned marijuana dispensary in Seattle that activists frequently target for allegedly "gentrifying" the neighborhood.

"I was recently informed that one of my "detractors" is the wife of the owner of Uncle Ike's," Castro-Gill wrote in the blog post. "One of their sons attends a school in Seattle Public Schools (SPS), which, apparently, gives them the (perceived) right to Karen the fu*k out of me with SPS."

The concerned parent, who is an Asian woman, sent an email to Seattle Public Schools regarding Tracy Castro-Gill and her relentless "anti-white supremacy" dogma.

"Ms. Castro Gill and her supporters are relentless in pushing their 'anti white supremacy' dogma. I would go so far as to say that one of the groups that I joined is verging on becoming a hate group. There are POCs in the community that are writing some disturbing things towards Whites. Replace the word "White" with any other race or ethnicity and it's just straight up racism," the parent said in an email to SPS.

"No, I do not ascribe to the notion that only Whites can be racist. That is a construct created by social justice advocates to justify their ideology and the cruelty they inflict on others. For the record, I am not White. I am Asian. And as I understand it, some in your organization believe I am the same as being White," the parent alleged to SPS.

In retaliation, Castro-Gill said of the concerned parent, "it was interesting to learn she identifies as Asian and uses that as evidence that she's not racist." In The Daily Wire article, Castro-Gill's father told The Daily Wire's Rosiak that she allegedly lied about her ethnicity and upbringing in order to be a "leader" in the social justice community, similar to that of Rachel Dolezal.

In a separate email, the parent expressed concerns about her child learning "Ethnic Studies" in their US history course, which isn't been approved material.

"Unit one is about Identity. My son has spent the last six weeks exploring his identity. It is mid October and my son has yet to learn one historical fact about the founding of this country. Not one. The unit homework asks some questions that I think are intrusive...How is this even relevant to  US History?" the parent asked in a separate email to SPS.

After Castro-Gill sent a PDR request to obtain the emails from the concerned parent, Castro-Gill publicly slammed the parent for being "racist" online.

"I think (the parent) needs an ethnic studies course more than her children do, but I digress. Her and her husband seem to be throwing their racist weight around all over Seattle, but what's more noteworthy is people are listening," Castro-Gill said.

"It's interesting that a school district that claims to be anti-racist gives the time of day to people like (the parent). How can educators be expected to implement anti-racist curricula and practices when Lindas and Karens can write emails calling for them to be fired, and those emails are used as evidence by SPS administrators to reprimand or fire anti-racist educators?" Castro-Gill continued.

Correction: This story has been updated to reflect that these revelations were made in a new book authored by Luke Rosiak, and that while Castro-Gill said on Facebook that she would be exploring "legal remedies," that has not yet come to pass, and it was not specified against whom. Portions of her Facebook post have also been included. The headline has also been updated.
