"Just canceled my Fox Nation subscription. No point in having it w/o Tucker Carlson Originals."
"I just cancelled my Fox Nation subscription with the note: 'No Tucker Carlson, no Fox Nation subscription. Goodbye.' Who is doing the same?" Scott Morefield posted on Twitter.
In addition to hosting Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight", the number one most-watched cable news show in the world, Carlson hosted a separate show on Fox Nation called, "Carlson Today", where he produced a wide variety of original segments.
The news of Carlson's exit from Fox News came as a shock to people across social media, to both his supporters and "enemies." It was also revealed that Carlson had only found out about the news just minutes before the network made the announcement public.
Critics called Fox News' decision to part ways with Carlson "a great mistake" that "will be the end of the network." The phrase "RIP Fox News" trended on Twitter soon after the announcement.
Support for the conservative and opinion commentator flooded social media, and it's clear his supporters stand by him as posts continued to roll in that they were unsubscribing from Fox Nation and getting rid of cable entirely.
"Just canceled my #FoxNation subscription! FU @FoxNews #TuckerCarlson was the only reason I still watched!!", a user named Michelle Maxwell wrote on Twitter.
"Today I canceled my Fox Nation subscription. Tomorrow I'll be returning all three cable boxes for my TV's. I don’t need them anymore, since the only reason I kept them was to watch Tucker Carlson Tonight & Today. @FoxNews blew it," another individual said.
"Just canceled my Fox Nation subscription. No point in having it w/o Tucker Carlson Originals," @villagecrazylady announced.
Other posts called on Tucker's supporters to cause significant monetary damage to Fox News Network, just like conservatives recently did with Bud Light.
"Cancel your Fox News Subscription. Send them where Bud Light goes to die!"
"Are we all done with Fox?!!? Can we do it to the level of Bud Light??!! I canceled my Fox Nation subscription."
Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson "agreed" to part ways on Monday. According to the statement released by Fox News, "Mr. Carlson's last program was Friday, April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named."
Justin Wells, executive producer of Tucker Carlson Tonight, followed Carlson and exited Fox News.
