There has been around a 1,100 percent increase in Chinese illegal immigration coming into the US since fiscal year 2022, the first full fiscal year under Biden.

An online network managed by a self-proclaimed agent of the Chinese government has reportedly been helping illegal immigrants evade border authorities in order to enter the US.

According to an investigation done by the Daily Caller, there is a Telegram channel titled "American Self-Guided Tour Channel" with over 8,000 members that has served as a platform to discuss how to illegally cross the border into the United States. It has served as a hub for documents, showing specific routes available to take, per the outlet's investigation.

Documents in the channel, obtained by the Daily Caller, help to identify border wall gaps, how to answer questions from the Border Patrol, as well as provide scripts on how to request asylum. The channel is reportedly overseen by a man who also spreads pro-Chinese Communist Party propaganda online.

The man overseeing the account identified himself as a Chinese officer and is said to ban those he finds not to be in line with the CCP. When asked by a fellow channel user to identify himself, the man behind the channel, Jack W., stated on April 30, 2024, “Yes, I am cyber police."

Cyber police work for China’s Ministry of Public Security to monitor website content as well as spread propaganda online, per the outlet’s investigation.

North Carolina Republican Rep. Dan Bishop told the outlet when he saw the report, “We’re allowing an element that is completely beyond our law to be established firmly as a beachhead in the United States of America, and the people of America are going to pay a severe price, much worse than we are paying even now."

Bishop said that there has been around a 1,100 percent increase in Chinese illegal immigration coming into the US since fiscal year 2022, the first full fiscal year under Biden. “Even people, like me, who’ve seen a lot of it have not yet totally come to grips with the sort of depth that you’ve described." Bishop chairs the House Homeland Security Committee’s Oversight, Investigations and Accountability subcommittee in Congress.

The Caller was able to obtain a phone that was abandoned near the southern border. After analyzing the device, the outlet discovered the Telegram channel and others related to it on the phone. One document advises them to "prepare a story about your persecution in advance" in order to apply for asylum, per the outlet. One message on the channel provided a template on how to craft asylum claims based on identity factors, such as religious, racial, sexual, and gender disclination.

The document's template on gender persecution states, “I am [name, ancestral hometown] nationality, I was born on [birthday]. Because I suffered gender-based violence and discrimination in my motherland, I am seeking asylum in [country]." The template adds, “My family forced me to marry, they wanted me to marry a man much older than me. When I refused, they beat me and threatened me saying that if I didn’t obey, they’d kill me. After marrying, my husband started physically and mentally abusing me, I was forced to leave my home and live in hiding. I tried seeking help from the local government, but they’re either corrupt or unwilling to help me. If I am forced to return to [motherland], I fear for my life, there I will face more violence and discrimination.”

The channel provided Chinese immigrants with a list of locations to travel to in South America in order then gain access to the US border. These included Quito, Ecuador, as well as Necocli, Colombia. One document identifies 15 border wall gaps that can be crossed, including 12 in California.

This comes after the Biden administration has reduced the vetting process for Chinese illegal immigrants at the border. The House GOP has recently launched an investigation into the spike in Chinese illegal immigrants coming into the US.
