An Iran-backed terrorist leader has been charged in connection with a series of attacks that were carried out in Europe against Americans and Jews following the start of the US-Iran conflict.

Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, a senior official linked to the Iran-backed militia Kata’ib Hizballah, allegedly helped organize and promote attacks carried out by a new group known as Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HIYA). According to an indictment filed Friday in the Southern District of New York, prosecutors allege HIYA functioned as a front organization used to coordinate 18 attacks across Europe, including bombings, stabbings, and arson attacks targeting Americans and Jewish sites.

“Essentially overnight, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya was able to activate terrorist cells across Europe to carry out nearly 20 attacks in the weeks immediately following that start of the Iranian Military Conflict,” the indictment states.

Among the attacks was a March 9 bombing at a synagogue in Belgium. After the attack, al-Saddi allegedly posted Hiya’s symbol on Telegram with messages calling for further violence, urging “warriors of Islam” to wage jihad and “set out where the darkness shelters.”

Other attacks include a March 15 bombing at a Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam, as well as the March 23 person attack on Jewish ambulances in London.

On April 20, al-Saadi posted a message calling on those connected to Hiya to “kill this arrogant, criminal, cursed Trump.”

“We direct our message to the free people of America, especially the security services, the Secret Service, and the victims of Epstein Island, where the blood of families was spilled and the lives of children were taken,” he posted.

Al-Saadi was arrested on Wednesday in Turkey after allegedly sending money to an undercover federal agent who was posing as a Mexican cartel member. The money was sent to carry out an arson attack on a synagogue in New York.
