A restaurant employee in Downtown Houston who has been charged with indecent assault for allegedly sticking his genitals into open food was also charged with child pornography after law enforcement officials investigated his cell phone.

Harris County police launched an investigation into Othello Larenzo Holmes, 27, on April 4 after a deputy went to the restaurant he worked at and the manager showed a video of Holmes placing his genitals into the food.

Holmes reportedly confessed to these actions, stating that he had a “sexual urge” to do so. He also admitted to having these urges frequently, and it is uncertain how many times Holmes has done this.

“When the restaurant found out about this behavior going on, they immediately shut down, to everybody. They had not served a single patron of the restaurant. And they shut down and only had their staff, their cook staff go in and throw away items in the kitchen and or sterilize things and take the appropriate corporate responsible actions to fix the problem,” said Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen in a statement to KPRC 2 Houston

Following his admission, Holmes was charged with indecent assault. After a further investigation into Holmes by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Digital Forensic Unit, Holmes was revealed to have over 100 images and five videos of child pornography on his cell phone.

Holmes’ phone also contained incriminating conversations on the messaging app Telegram, where Holmes allegedly expressed desires for "access to kids" and admitted to being "super pervy."

Holmes was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. Investigators suspect that Holmes may have been involved in the creation and distribution of child pornography.

“We kept investigating this person. And, boy, I’m glad we did, because we got a subpoena for his phone, and we found some really horrible things on his phone. We found child pornography, and we are fearful that he potentially may have and at some point, molested young children,” Rosen said.

Holmes was arrested and was booked in Harris County Jail. He is currently on a $500,000 bond for the child pornography cases.
