'That’s shady as f*ck': Texas PAC operative admits Dems are paying voters in 'roundabout way' to vote for Talarico in Senate race

Video obtained by Townhall Media has revealed an organizer for a Democrat Texas PAC saying how they have been paying for voters to cast their ballots for Democrat US Senate candidate James Talarico in a “roundabout way.”

Sky McAdams, organizing manager for Texas Majority PAC, was seen in the undercover footage saying, “We are paying people $25 to attend a one-hour Zoom class to learn why voting is important and why the Republicans are causing all of these bad things. So it’s like a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially.”

McAdams said it was called a “paid relational program,” with the official name being “Rally Texas.”

“You can’t pay someone to vote for someone,” McAdams admitted. “You can’t be like, ‘Here’s $25, go vote for me.’ You can say, ‘Attend a one-hour class and you can receive $25.’ And then the class just talks about the importance of… It’s a little gray,” he continues.

He admitted that if “I was a Republican, I would be p*ssed” about the scheme. “I would be like, that’s shady as f*ck.”

Per Townhall, the program is operated by Relentless. The group’s website states that “voters trust their friends and family more than any institution.” It adds, “They want to support the issues and candidates they care about and directly affect them, but they want to do so with the people who know them best. Relational organizing ensures that the most effective messengers — members of their own community — are at the center of political and social movements.”

The program works by recruiting “low-propensity voters” and compensating them “for their time as they reach, persuade, and mobilize their friends and family to vote.” The program was scaled in 2024 to include the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, with Relentless saying the effort brought in over 47,000 Democrat votes.

The Texas Majority PAC seeks to elect Democrats to statewide offices in Texas and “turn Texas blue.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is running against Talarico, previously launched an investigation into the George Soros-funded PAC “for its role in potentially unlawful financial coordination and bribery of Democratic legislators who fled Texas to break quorum.” Democrat lawmakers fled the state in 2025 in an effort to block the vote on redistricting, which favored Republicans in the state.
