Tim Pool claims police entered his property despite officers knowing it was a SWAT call

Podcaster Tim Pool is "calling bullsh*t" on the police officers that entered his property after his live broadcast had been swatted, saying the cops knew that it was a SWAT call.

"The cops knew we were being SWAT'd and decided to enter my property under 'exigent circumstances' anyway," Pool wrote on Twitter on Friday morning, the day following the swatting. "I'm calling bullsh*t."

Included in Pool's tweet is a Soundcloud recording of what appears to be the dispatch talking about the call.

In the call, one person asks if they can find out if the person that made the call had a local number. He continued on to say, "I'm pretty sure this is going to be a swatting call. They're shooting a political film inside the residence here."

The man continued on to state that he wants to "check the welfare of the neighboring addresses."

Responding to Pool's tweet, one Twitter user stated that the police were just making sure everything was okay at the scene, writing "They think it's a swat but they don't know for sure. What if it had been somebody from outside targeting you guys and they're just like lol it's a swat no big?"

"[I]n the full dispatch the cops are confused, three people greet them outside saying it's false and they cant come in," Pool responded. "The cops even say they think it’s a swatting."

During Thursday night's episode of Timcast IRL, police had entered the studio after receiving reports that two people had been shot and killed at the address where Pool records.

"Police were told not to enter without a warrant but said they didn't need one due to exigent circumstances. This is a large house used as a production studio with many employees on site," Pool wrote in a tweet elaborating on the situation last night.

Footage from Thursday shows the podcast crew visibly confused, with host Luke Rudkowski stating that "A police officer is strolling in here, looking around, because it looks like someone just swatted this live-broadcast," as Pool leaves the frame.

"That's something that is extremely dangerous. Extremely reckless. Because SWAT incidents have led to many people dying," Rudkowski said. "People thinking that their house is being raided by criminals, defending themselves."

"I just walked out of the room, the cops walked in, they walked around with flashlights, we've been swatted. I am extremely unhappy with this because — I can't necessarily be mad at the officers," Pool explained.

"They were very polite, but I do not like cops coming into my house when we have mats all over the place. I say come back with a warrant, And I don't know who let them in or why, I understand they're here because we got swatted. A report was made that two people had been shot and killed and that the gunman was threatening to to hurt themselves," he continued.

"They didn't send a SWAT team. It was just a couple of officers. I don't want to drag them or be mean to them because they were polite, but I'm not happy with the idea that they're walking into our studio while we are live," Pool added.

Pool continued on to say that the cop apologized, telling Pool: "I'm really sorry about this. We're not trying to, you know, screw with you or what you're doing. Here's what happened. We got a call to people had been shot and killed and a person was going to be killing themselves. We have to check it out. Make sure everything's okay. We're going to be doing a sweep once we figure it out."

Pool continued on to say that he told the officer to come back with a warrant.
