Thousands of protestors braved a snowstorm outside the US consulate in Toronto on Wednesday to call on President Donald Trump to stand with the Iranian people and take action against the brutal Islamic regime. At one point, they played recent audio of President Trump telling the Iranian people that "help is on its way." The crowd then echoed Trump's call to "Make Iran great again."

Chanted slogans included "Trump act now!," "Regime change for Iran!," and "Military intervention now!" Many held signs calling on President Trump to support the people of Iran, some of which featured he and Iranian crown prince Reza Pahlavi side-by-side.

Mehrzad Zahrei, whose sons were killed in the crash of PS752, was among the protestors. He appealed to President Trump as a father. "Just imagine how many fathers like me, and like others, the regime's killed their sons. We need your support. We need your help. We need you to stand beside us to get the regime of the Mullahs down. With the Mullahs down, it's going to give a better world for all of us."

Ardeshir Zarezadeh called on the Liberal Party of Canada—and the rest of the world—to take serious action against the regime.

"We've passed the stage where we ask the world to condemn the human rights violation in Iran. It's not a human rights violation anymore, it's a crime against humanity. It's the world's responsibility to take action to protect the civilians" he said. "Mark Carney and the Liberal government either will help, or not help. We don't want statements."

Negin called on the world to be the voice of the Iranian people. "They shut down internet, they started to execute. They never stop killing and executing. People of the world, please be our voice. Help Iranains." She added, "President Trump, help Iranians. Save Iran, and save the world from the darkness."

Jake called on President Trump to honour his word because "We have always counted on you words as a promise," adding "We don't have any guns, any airplanes, any bombers, anything like that. We just have empty hands. Please help us. Tomorrow we will be the best friends."

Sammy said "We are here to ask Mr. Trump to act now. Let the Middle East be free from those evil people. They are like a dragon—they are very, very dangerous," adding "Down with Khamenei, down with the terrorist regime of Iran. Thank you for anyone—anyone!—supporting the Iranian people."

The protest lasted two hours, and concluded without incident.
