A Toronto, Ontario man has been charged by the police in connection to an alleged crime of sexually assaulting an elderly woman, according to CP24.
The woman in question is 84-years-old and was asleep at the time of the incident.
This assault is said to have occurred on Boxing Day. The man who has been arrested is a parcel delivery driver.
This happened in the Greenholme Circuit area of Scarborough after midnight.
Police say that the suspect woke up the woman, proceeded to befriend her, sexually assaulted her, and then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Praveen 'Bobby' Balhumar, 29, has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out this crime. From Toronto, he now works as a delivery driver.
Police have charged the man with being unlawfully in a dwelling, assault, forcible confinement, and sexual assault. The police released a suspect photo as they're concerned there may be more victims.
Police are urging anyone with information to speak to them or crime stoppers.
