A clip has recently circulated on social media showing a trans-identified female being arrested for contempt of court after arguing with a judge in a hearing in Oklahoma. During a struggle with police, the attorney demanded a female officer.

Rob Hopkins, formerly known as Robyn, was seen arguing with the judge, with the judge telling Hopkins, "Stop, you interrupt me one more time and you are being help in direct contempt of court and you can wipe that smirk off your face." The incident occurred during a February 5 hearing.

"I am not going to tolerate this from you, sir," the judge continued, directing Hopkins to file paperwork with the clerk’s office.

Hopkins later told the judge, "My client’s not seen her child. There is no order in this court, and there’s been no jurisdiction found that this court has jurisdiction over this child, who has never lived in your county."

The judge said that Hopkins had once again interrupted, with Hopkins denying it, launching into a new argument. "I wasn’t done with my argument," said Hopkins, with the judge replying, "and I was not done with my statement. You interrupted again."

Hopkins then appeared to throw a phone to the ground. The judge said Hopkins had thrown it, while Hopkins claimed, "I did not throw, it fell off the bench. Please stop saying things that are not true, ma’am."

Hopkins continued arguing with the judge, who informed Hopkins that if she pressed a button at her desk, it would get "every available deputy" to her courtroom."

Hopkins accused the judge of not allowing the attorney to make an argument, adding, "maybe it’s because I’m a transgender attorney practicing all over the state."

Moments later, the attorney for the other party said that it was clear Hopkins’ client would not appear in person at the court because there was a warrant out for her arrest for stealing, with Hopkins yelling over the attorney, "That’s not true."

"I’m not putting up with this," the judge said, leaving her desk. Officers came into the room with the judge, who informed Hopkins that she was under arrest for contempt of court. Hopkins was seen struggling as officers attempted to put handcuffs on her.

The attorney claimed that the officers who were attempting to bring Hopkins down were hurting her and screamed "I can’t breathe." Once being placed in handcuffs, Hopkins demanded, "Get a female officer now." An officer replied, "There aren’t any." Hopkins also demanded that the officers put the attorney's glasses back on her face.

Per the Oklahoma Post, Hopkins was reportedly held on a $25,000 bond. The case Hopkins was representing in court relates to a custody matter involving Julie Ann Kramer.

Per Hopkins’ LinkedIn account, she was an attorney at law and owner of Hopkins Law and Associates, PC. On February 11, the Facebook account for the law firm announced that the business was closing its doors.

In a video released on Facebook, Hopkins said that it was "best that I step away." The attorney said, "As many of you all heard, there was an incident that took place in another county, a rural county, and the details of that incident, and I can’t release that at this time. And being as that, I believe that I first have grounds for a discrimination lawsuit there in that county. And but for my physical safety at this time, it’s best that I step away, and for my family’s physical safety, is best that I step away."
