A new poll has revealed that 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is beating President Biden among Pennsylvania voters.

The poll, conducted by Quinnipiac University, found that 47 percent of Pennsylvania registered voters would vote for Trump if the election were held at the time they were asked, while 46 percent said they would vote for Biden.

A majority of independent Pennsylvania voters said they would vote for Trump, at 51 percent, compared to 38 percent who said they would vote for Biden.

The poll also found that among registered Republican voters, 49 percent said they would vote for Trump in the primary, while 25 percent said they would vote for DeSantis.

57 percent of Pennsylvanians said they disapprove of Biden’s job performance, as well as 50 percent who said they disapprove of Senator John Fetterman’s performance in Congress.

The top issue for voters in the state was the economy, at 30 percent, while 28 percent said preserving democracy. In third place was gun violence, at nine percent.

56 percent of Pennsylvanian voters said that the Justice Department’s indictment against Trump was motivated mainly by politics, compared to 41 percent who said it was motivated by law.

A majority of voters, 58 percent, also said that the Justice Department’s plea deal with Hunter Biden was motivated mainly by politics.

The poll was conducted between June 22 and 26 of 1,584 Pennsylvania voters and has a margin of error of 2.5 percent. For questions regarding Republican voters, the poll surveyed 614 self-identified GOP voters between those dates and has a margin of error of 4 percent.
