Trump doubled his support among Black voters, receiving 16% in 2024 compared with 8% in 2020 , and gained 7 percent support among Hispanic voters.
On Tuesday, Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential. election, winning all seven swing states, as well as the popular vote, against Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. He had wide support across voter demographics.
Compared to the 2020 election, Trump gained 10 percent support among voters between the ages of 18 to 29, as well as nearly 5 points among voters ages 30 to 44, according to the Associated Press’ VoteCast, which interviewed over 120,000 voters beginning October 28 and continuing through Election Day.
Trump also doubled his support among Black voters, receiving 8 percent in 2020 and 16 percent in 2024, and gained 7 percent support among Hispanic voters.
52 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 44 voted for Trump, while 46 percent said they voted for Harris. Among male voters 45 and older, 56 percent voted for Trump while 42 voted for Harris. Among women 18 to 44, Harris had a 12 point lead, while among female voters 45 and up, that lead narrowed to 4 points. In 2020, Biden had a 24 point lead among female voters 18 to 44.
According to a New York Times analysis of voting results, which included the counties and states with at least 95 percent of the vote counted as of publication Wendesday, all 34 states included in this had shifted to the right, including Democrat strongholds like Minnesota.
Hispanic-majority counties, of which there were 86 included, shifted 13.3 points to the right, and Native American-majority counties shifted 10 points to the right. Black majrotiy counties shifted 2.7 points to the right.
Voter analysis conducted by Fox News found that Trump won the Catholic vote by 10 points over Harris, as well as the Protestant, Morman, and other Christian denomination votes by double digits.
