President-elect Donald Trump has announced three Special Ambassadors to Hollywood, California. They are Mel Gibson, who recently visited with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home, Jon Voight and Sylvester Stallone.

"It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California," he said. "They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE! These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!"

These new honorary positions also come as portions of Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, including the tony Pacific Palisades and Malibu, are on fire. They have been on fire for a week and thousands of homes have burned down as the fire spread through the hills.

Hollywood has also been under fire for the past several years as leftist content has become mainstream and conservatives and conservative values have been essentially pushed out of the American entertainment industry. The ideological orthodoxy has left the door open for the creation of parallel economy entertainment platforms, such as The Daily Wire and Angel Studios, both of which have created films that appeal to parents and families are less interested in being preached to about Democrat ideas and values.

Variety notes that "The domestic box office in 2024 was also down from the year prior, as the Hollywood release calendar took a hit from the 2023 actors and writers strikes. Last year’s revenues were $8.7 billion, down 3.3% from 2023 and 23.5% from 2019, the last pre-pandemic year which reached $11.3 billion."

Trump will become the 47th president when he is inaugurated on Monday, January 20. Hollywood has traditionally been home to a donor base of celebrities and movie moguls who have fundraised for Democrat politicians. Gibson, Voight and Stallone have all faced criticism from their colleagues over their conservative viewpoints.
