President Donald Trump made an appearance at UFC 316 on Saturday night, receiving loud applause from the crowd as he entered the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Joining Trump at the event were his daughter Ivanka Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Notably absent, unsurprisingly, was Elon Musk, who had previously appeared with Trump at a UFC event in Miami. The absence comes amid an ongoing social media feud between Trump and Musk, with the two’s relationship appearing to be strained.
While Trump received vocal support in the arena, not all from the fighting community have been supportive of him in recent days. Boxer Jake Paul commented on X regarding Trump and Musk’s relationship, writing, “One of the problems with the Republican Party is on display today (As a current Republican) We unfortunately have these Alpha male egos and leaders who aren’t mature enough sometimes. They’re 50+ years old and diss tweeting each other Elon and Trump are great but they need to work together and not make America look bad.”
Trump, who was already in New Jersey to attend his golf course in Bedminster, also weighed in on the upcoming state primary, endorsing Republican Jack Ciattarelli for governor.

Get Out and Vote for Jack Ciattarelli, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump posted. “His Opponents are going around saying they have my Endorsement, which is not true, I don’t even know who they are! We can’t play games when it comes to Elections, and New Jersey is a very important State that we must WIN. The whole World is watching. Vote for Jack Ciattarelli to, MAKE NEW JERSEY GREAT AGAIN!"
