I said, ‘What about the vice president?’ He said, “No, I don’t blame her.’ Which was interesting. He didn’t blame her,” Trump added.
President Donald Trump said that Joe Biden blames Barack Obama as well as Nancy Pelosi for his defeat in dropping out of the 2024 race after having a disastrous debate with Trump in late June last year.
Trump sat down with the Spectator for an interview, in which he stated that he had gone to the White House to meet with Biden, and told the outlet, "[Biden] asked for a meeting, and I went and we talked for a little while.”"I asked him, I said, 'So who do you blame?' Because he was very angry, you know — he’s a very angry guy, actually. And he said, 'I blame Barack'… And he said, ‘and I also blame Nancy Pelosi.’ I said, ‘What about the vice president?’ He said, “No, I don’t blame her.’ Which was interesting. He didn’t blame her,” Trump added.
During the June 27 debate between Biden and Trump, the 46th president appeared very feeble and forgetful as he was attempting to go back and forth with Trump. The debate led into a news cycle where even outlets that were favorable towards Biden before began to call for him to step down as the presidential candidate for the Democrats.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris took Biden’s place at the top of the ticket, and later lost to Trump in November. However, through various reports, it was clear that Biden was facing pressure from political figures such as Obama as well as Pelosi to drop out of the race after the debate.
