"Jack is a lamebrain prosecutor who was unable to get his case tried before the Election."
"Deranged Jack Smith was unable to successfully prosecute the Political Opponent of his 'boss,' Crooked Joe Biden, so he ends up writing yet another 'Report' based on information that the Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs ILLEGALLY DESTROYED AND DELETED," Trump posted on Truth Social.
He added, "It showed how totally innocent I was, and how completely guilty Nancy Pelosi, and others, were. Jack is a lamebrain prosecutor who was unable to get his case tried before the Election, which I won in a landslide. THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN!!!"
Smith insisted in the final report that Trump would have been convicted of election interference and that his team "stood up for the rule of law" as they investigated Trump over allegations of election interference in the long-awaited report.
The report was delivered to Congress by the DOJ just after midnight on Tuesday. Trump's legal team had attempted to block its release. Judge Aileen Cannon had initially blocked the release of both the January 6 report and the Mar-a-Lago report, but on Monday ruled that the January 6 final report could be released.
The 174-page report details what Smith did in his investigations into Trump and accused him of plotting to overthrow the 2020 election against Joe Biden. Smith claimed that Trump took on an "unprecedented criminal effort" to remain in the White House despite his departure when Biden was inaugurated.
“Indeed, but for Mr. Trump’s election and imminent return to the presidency, the office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial,” Smith wrote in the report.
