"This is the Thug, over turned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me."
As President Trump gears up to appear at the Miami federal courthouse on Tuesday following his criminal indictment, the 45th president unleashed on Special Counsel Jack Smith's political "witch hunt" in a series of posts on Truth Social, and called the indictment over his alleged mishandling of classified documents "election interference."
President Trump held nothing back as he dug into Special Counsel Smith, calling him a "corrupt thug" within moments before the two are set to meet face-to-face at the Wilkie D. Ferguson courthouse.
"This is the Thug, over turned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me. He’s a Radical Right Lunatic and Trump Hater, as are all his friends and family, who probably “planted” information in the “boxes” given to them. They taint everything that they touch, including our Country, which is rapidly going to HELL!" President Trump wrote on Truth Social.

In a separate post, President Trump explained that there's a two-tiered system of justice in the United States and slammed the Biden administration for weaponizing the Department of Justice to go after his top political rival. Trump called out the hypocrisy of the criminal indictment, explaining that President Biden has been found to have classified documents in his possession, and questioned why former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was never prosecuted for the thousands of deleted emails.
"Will Deranged Jack Smith be looking at the thousands of pages of documents that Biden had in Chinatown then, when caught, quickly sent up to Boston? What about the 1,850 Boxes that Biden is fighting to keep secret," Trump questioned on Truth Social. "How about Hillary’s 33,000 emails that she deleted and acid washed?"
The 45th president, who is the current GOP front-runner in the 2024 presidential election, mentioned the bombshell reporting on President Biden and his son hunter, in which they allegedly received a $5 million illegal bribery from a Ukrainian Burisma executive, and questioned why the FBI and DOJ are refusing to take prosecutorial action.
"Will he be looking at the $5,000,000 bribe that was paid to Biden but that the Justice Department is trying to hide?" Trump questioned. "Much more coming on that!"
President Trump added, "We are living in a Third World Country. No Borders, Rigged Elections!"
Trump then proceeded with a series of posts regarding his indictment, which included writing, "Witch Hunt," "Election Intereference," "America First," and "Make America Great Again!"
Following the unsealing of the Biden administration's indictment against former President Donald Trump, Special Counsel Jack Smith, who headed the investigation, held a press conference announcing the charges and insisted on a "speedy trial."
Special Counsel Smith said during the press brief, "Adherence to the rule of law is a bedrock principle of the Department of Justice, and our nation’s commitment to the rule of law sets an example for the world," and added, "we have one set of laws in this country, and they apply to everyone."
The indictment alleges that Trump committed unauthorized possession of national defense documents, and "willfully retain[ed] the documents and fail[ed] to deliver them to the officer and employee of the United States entitled to receive them." Each of the 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information pertains to a different document of different dates and classification levels.
On Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) vowed to stand against funding the office of Special Counsel Jack Smith and said, "This morning, I’m writing an appropriations rider to defund Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office and entire investigation."
"I will not vote for any appropriations bill to fund the weaponization of government. I hope every one of my Republican colleagues will join me," she added.
A crowd of 50,000 is expected to form outside the courthouse in Miami on Tuesday while President Trump faces criminal charges. Trump encouraged protests, saying that there is "plenty" to protest in Biden's current America, but made it clear that they must remain "peaceful."
