Trump urges Republicans to make a plan to vote in 2024

"Absentee voting, early voting, and election day voting are all good options."

On Friday, former President Donald Trump urged everyone eligible to vote to register and have a plan to cast their ballot.

In a post on Truth Social, the former president said, "Absentee voting, early voting, and election day voting are all good options." He added, "Republicans must make a plan, register, and vote."

Last month, new RNC co-chair Lara Trump revealed the organization's plan to work with conservative activist Scott Presler to increase voter turn out and execute a legal ballot-chasing initiative. Ballot-chasing, plans for voting, and organizing mail-in ballotting initiatives was something Democrats excelled at in 2020.

"We also have to start thinking about things like legal ballot harvesting, something we've never embraced as a party," she told podcast host Benny Johnson. "We're going to start doing it now. I'm going to have a call very soon with Scott Presler, who is an amazing vote registerer. He has registered so many people in this country."

Ballot harvesting is when a person turns in a ballot for another voter and was previously disavowed by Republicans, who pushed for it to be eliminated. However, former President Trump revealed last year that the initiative could be necessary to take on billionaire George Soros, who funnels money into local prosecutorial elections.

"We recently alerted you that a Soros-linked Super PAC has begun targeting 6 battleground states with a $75 MILLION spending blitz to buy Crooked Joe the White House," he said in an email. "But there’s something important we want to add…some of those states have legalized BALLOT HARVESTING."

"At the beginning of the year, President Trump made a major announcement that our campaign would ballot harvest in the states where it’s legal to counter the Left's schemes," the former president added. "Our path forward is to MASTER the Democrats’ own game of harvesting ballots in every state we can. But that also means we need to start laying the foundation for victory RIGHT NOW.”

Trump was highly critical of the system after the 2020 election, but acknowledged that the GOP would have to "live with the system that stinks." He noted that "a mail-in ballot will always be corrupt."
