Former President Donald Trump said Friday that if reelected he will flag the “illegal activity” of Google to the Department of Justice over the social media platform’s “blatant interference of elections."

In a post on Truth Social, the Republican presidential candidate accused Google of blatant bias and that it “has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump” while simultaneously “only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris.”

“It has been determined that Google has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump, some made up for this purpose while, at the same time, only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris,” Trump posted. “This is an ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, and hopefully the Justice Department will criminally prosecute them for this blatant Interference of Elections. If not, and subject to the Laws of our Country, I will request their prosecution, at the maximum levels, when I win the Election, and become President of the United States!”

A Google official has admitted it favors the Democrats and as Breitbart noted, Trump is not just posting partisan points. A recent Media Research Center (MRC) analysis of Google activity demonstrated how the search engine weights its responses against Trump and for Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.

“In the past, Google buried the campaign websites of Republican candidates. Now the search giant very clearly pads its search results about political candidates with leftist legacy news articles, many of which are hostile to Republicans and either neutral or favorable toward Democrats. Readers will have to sift through the biased news before they even see the organic results of their searches, let alone a candidate’s website.”

The MRC’s analysis also concluded that in the days prior to the first presidential debate between President Joe Biden and Trump, Biden’s campaign website was consistently among the top responses to a Google search on “presidential race 2024,” while Trump’s website was not even listed on the first page of options

In the aftermath of the first attempted assassination of Trump, Google virtually erased the former president’s name when the autocomplete function kicked ion. People were led not to Trump but to Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan and others. Google claimed this reason for this omission was a default mechanism in the search engine that flags searches related to potential political violence.
