"Some of whom, I won't get into it, but you can look at them and you can say, 'Could be trouble,'" the president said. "There are people coming in with tattoos all over their face...typically, you know, he's not going to be head of the local bank."
On Monday, Trump declared a national emergency at the US-Mexico border and signed a series of executive measures aimed at undoing the damage caused by the Biden administration's open border policies, which resulted in a record 8 million people illegally entering the US during the previous four years.
Some of the measures taken have been eliminating the controversial CBP One app, terminating catch-and-release policies, and deploying 10,000 US troops to secure the southern border. Additionally, mass deportation operations have begun in cities across the nation under the leadership of Border Czar Tom Homan. More than 380 illegal immigrants were captured in the first two days of the operation, predominately individuals with violent criminal records, including murder and sexual abuse of women and children.
Trump's Department of Justice has also been ordered to investigate local and state officials in sanctuary states who interfere with and/or obstruct federal illegal immigration operations.
