Twitter has refused to flag a tweet from Georgia Senate candidate Jon Ossoff that falsely accuses Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler of "campaigning with a klansman."

"Good morning. Kelly Loeffler campaigned with a klansman," Ossoff tweeted Thursday morning, attaching the viral clip of his remarks insisting he has no concerns "whatsoever" about the allegations of child abuse at a church camp once run by Democratic ally Rev. Raphael Warnock.

Then in an attempt to divert attention away from Warnock, Ossoff went on to falsely claim that Loeffler has been "campaigning with a Klansman."

"She is stooping to these vicious personal attacks to distract from the fact that she's been campaigning with a former member of the Ku Klux Klan," Ossoff stated, unprompted. "I mean, we deserve better than that here in Georgia."

On Thursday, Twitter spokesperson Trenton Kennedy told the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) that the tweet does not fit under any of the social media platform's three policies for misleading information: "synthetic and manipulated media, COVID-19, and Civic Integrity."

Kennedy even admitted that he did have his Twitter teams review the Ossoff tweet due to the busyness of the holiday season. Kennedy explained to the DCNF that while the civic integrity category deals with elections, "making a claim about someone happens in political speech all the time."

"Making a claim about someone and their character wouldn't fall under any of those policies," Kennedy argued.

However, the DCNF pointed out that Ossoff's viral statement is false, based on a contested photograph that Loeffler's campaign has strongly condemned.

The photo in question depicts Loeffler posed with white supremacist Chester Doles at a recent campaign event in Dawsonville, Ga. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Doles is a member of the Ku Klux Klan and the neo-Nazi National Alliance. He then posted the picture to the Russian social network VKontakte on Friday with the caption: "Kelly Leoffener [sic] and I. Save America, stop Socialism!"

"Kelly had no idea who that was, and if she had she would have kicked him out immediately because we condemn in the most vociferous terms everything that he stands for," Loeffler campaign spokesman Stephen Lawson told the Associated Press on Sunday.

Lawson told the DCNF Thursday that Twitter should have flagged Ossoff's tweet and taken it down since it's "a blatant lie."

"It's not surprising coming from a pathological liar like Jon Ossoff whose parents still pay his rent," Lawson added.

The Twitter representative insisted to DCNF that the site is not going to be "the arbiter of truth" as CEO Jack Dorsey has maintained before, which conflicts with the company's biased practices.

Twitter repeatedly censored President Donald Trump's tweets during the 2020 presidential election. As ballot counting continued, Twitter flagged four of the president's tweets in a 24-hour span.

The warning labels slapped on his posts read: "Some or all of the content shared in this tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process." Twitter then offered a link to "learn about U.S. 2020 election security efforts."

Twitter also locked the New York Post out of its account for supposedly violating the platform's policy against the "distribution of hacked material" after the right-wing publication dropped its widely-circulated Hunter Biden bombshell.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, James Woods, and One American News Network's Jack Posobiec were additionally locked out of their Twitter accounts over tweets related to the Biden family scandal. Twitter then censored the story sitewide.

Attempts to share the link resulted in an error message, stating: "Your Tweet couldn't be sent because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful. Visit our Help Center to learn more."
