The NFL postponed Monday night's game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed after making a tackle. The NFL Players Association offered intense concern for his condition.

Hamlin was reportedly taken to the University of Cincinnati Hospital, where was intubated and was listed in critical condition.

The Buffalo Bills later said that Hamlin "suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition."

Hamlin made the tackle on Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins with 5:58 left to go in the first quarter at the Bengals' Paycor Stadium.

When he got up from the tackle, he took a few steps, seemed to be fine, and then collapsed onto the field.

The game was initially suspended as Hamlin was given CPR and taken by ambulance to a hospital. He left the field on a stretcher.

The game was postponed entirely shortly after Hamlin was taken from the field. Players could be seen praying for him.

The NFL Players Association released a statement.

"The NFLPA and everyone in our community is praying for Damar Hamlin. We have been in touch with Bills and Bengals players, and with the NFL. The only thing that matters at this moment is Damar's health and well being."

Hamlin was taken off the field via a backboard and a stretcher, and first responders administered CPR. ESPN also reported that he was given oxygen.

An ambulance drove out onto the field and took him to the hospital. Players gathered around and prayed for him.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
