Shortly after former US Representative and Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke caused a disturbance at a press conference in Texas discussing Tuesday’s school shooting, a congressman posted a photo comparing O’Rourke to the famed "Tank Man."

The photo, posted by Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota, showed O’Rourke standing at the foot of the stage where Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, and others were holding a press conference in regards to the Robb Elementary School shooting which resulted in the deaths of 19 children and two adults.

Next to the photo of O’Rourke was the famous photo of the Tiananmen Square "Tank Man," who was photographed standing defiantly in front of a line of tanks as protests continued in China.

The photo was posted by Phillips just after 2 pm, but has since been deleted.

During Wednesday’s press conference, as Abbott was attempting to hand the conversation over to Patrick, O’Rourke approached the stage and yelled that the state’s government wasn’t doing anything to prevent the next school shooting.

He told the Abbott that the time to "stop the next shooting is right now, and you're doing nothing."

A man, who was later identified as Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, yelled at O’Rourke: "I can't believe you're a sick son of a b*tch who would come to a deal like this to make a political issue."

As he was escorted away from the stage, O'Rourke attempted to place blame for the shooting on the politicians present, including Abbott.

"It’s on a**holes like you, why don’t you get out of here," McLaughlin shouted back at O'Rourke.
