Ontario karate teacher charged with the sexual assault of a former student

York Regional Police have reported that charges have been laid against Ray Tio, 47 years old, of Vaughan Ontario, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a former student of his.

York Regional Police have reported that charges have been laid against Ray Tio, 47 years old, of Vaughan Ontario, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a former student of his.

They further report that the victim is a female who was aged 13 years at the time of the alleged incident. Tio was arrested and charged with the clime on Thurs Feb 3 2022.

According to CTV News Toronto, "Tio has been teaching karate at a number of locations in Vaughan and Mississauga for many years and would have had access to children throughout this time."

"Investigators are releasing his photo and are urging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward," York Regional Police further indicated at their Monday press conference.
