A Venezuelan national who reportedly distributed stickers that said, “Be a hero, shoot Trump,” during meetups for an anti-ICE group in Provo, Utah, has been detained by ICE, according to a report from The Cougar Chronicle.

Hector Mujica, identified as a Venezuelan national by ICE and a member of the anti-ICE group People of Provo Against ICE (POPAI), was arrested by authorities on Friday and taken into ICE custody.

Mujica had been handing out the threatening flyers as well as posting them on the group’s Discord server earlier in the summer, per the report.

The outlet also obtained audio of members of the group praising the stickers. He also made stickers that said, “Shoot Trump, Be A Hero, Become Unforgettable” at a meeting with POPAI. The stickers appeared in public places around the city of Provo.

When organizers with the far-left group discovered that Mujica was arrested on Friday, they organized an emergency anti-ICE protest that was set to take place yesterday. However, Mujica’s family asked the group not to protest. A GoFundMe was started for his legal defense and has raised over $4,500.

The person who organized the fund stated: “On October 16th, DHS entrapped and abducted Hector from our local coffee shop. He is a pillar to our community, and we just want him home and safe. They lied about the reason for detainment. He had recently been doxxed by the far right extremist group ‘cougar chronical’ (sic) for his outspoken activism and charity to the community.”

During and leading up to President Donald Trump's second term, he faced an increasing number of threats as well as assassination attempts. During his campaign in 2025, Trump was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. Ryan Routh was found guilty of trying to assassinate Trump while he was on his golf course.

This past year, during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Cole Allen allegedly attempted to assassinate Trump as well as other officials when he charged through a Secret Service barrier with a gun but was taken down by agents.
