Anonymous accusations of racism leveled at a Pennsylvania woman for her participation in a Blue Lives Matter protest has led to calls for her removal from the school board. Christine Alonso, who serves as treasurer and the community outreach liaison for the Interboro School District Board was was charged by an anonymous accuser of shouting racist slurs.

Alonso admits freely that she was at the rally in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, which was one of two protests in Ridley Township this past Saturday, Aug. 1. She says that at no point did she use racial slurs, either then or at any point in her life. Both the Black Lives Matter Protest and the Blue Lives Matter protest, which Alonso attended, were at the Ridley Township Municipal Building.

Chants of "black lives matter" sounded off against counter-chants of "all lives matter." There were reportedly no citations or arrests. Video of the event was broadcast by local Action News. Alonso can be seen in a pink tank top.

"I will say I have never had or waved a Confederate flag as the original accusation stated. Nor have I ever said any sort of racial slurs," Alonso told Philly Mag. The main thing that I stated was 'Blue Lives Matter' and on the news slip, you could see me mouthing something which was just me saying, 'I am so racist, yet I fought for you.'"

Alonso is a veteran of the US Army, and mother of four children who attended Interboro schools. She has been on the school board since Jan. 2o18.

The woman who made the accusations against Alonso refuses to reveal her identity, claiming, according to Philly Mag, that she lives in the area and is "fearful of retaliation."

The Change.org petition calling for Alonso's removal is sponsored by an Anonymous user and has garnered 7,132 of 7,500 signatures. The petition states is directed to the attentions of Bernadette Reiley, William Phelps of the the Interboro Press, Interboro Vice President of the Interoro School Board Justin Shivone, and both the superintendent and school president.

An update to the petition states that the Interboro Board Vice President "has publicly called for the resignation of Christine Alonso!" Anonymous states that this advocacy for Alonso's removal is the "first step," and calls out others of the school board by name, demanding that they condemn her as well. "Silence is Compliance!" The petition reads.

The petition is titled "Interboro High School Treasurer is Racist!" And the original post states that Alonso "stood facing the BLM protestors and was screaming racial slurs and was with a group of people who were seen waving a Confederate flag."

Anonymous states that Alonso's intentions were not peaceful, that she was not there to show support, but to "start trouble and antagonize peaceful progressive protestors." The petition also says that there were other members of the school board seen in additional videos from the protest that were "circulating around Facebook as proof of the school board members lack of compassion for many students in the district."

Anonymous states that Alonso has too much "hate" to be on the school board, and notes that Alonso is a vice president of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter, which "proudly flew a confederate flag conveniently on the day of the Black Lives Matter protest."

Anonymous names members of the school board and provides their contact information, but does not provide her own name or a way to get in touch with her. Anonymous demands that Alonso "step down" because her "actions are causing much unnecessary attention to an otherwise great school." If Alonso doesn't step down or isn't removed, the petitioner promises to continue to "fight" for her removal.

Another video of the protest shows Alsonso being held back from confronting members of DelCo Resist, a local BLM advocacy group that staged the Black Lives Matter protest. DelCo Resist can be seen heading away from the town center, marching into traffic and continuing their action.

Anonymous notes in the petition that Alonso has claimed innocence by saying that she has members of her family who are minorities, but that "she is wasting her time." It says that if Alonso "was not racist she would not appear at a Black Lives Matter protest to protest the peaceful protestors!" The "anger in her eyes" is used as additional proof of Alonso's racism.

Anonymous is listed as being from Glenolden, PA.

The Post Millennial has reached out to Christine Alonso for comment via Facebook, but was unable to find a way to contact Anonymous Anonymous.
