New video from the New Year’s Day terror attack in New Orleans’s French Quarter shows the moment a shootout ensued on Bourbon Street. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who drove a white Ford electric truck into a crowd of revelers early Wednesday, killing at least 14 and injuring dozens of others, died in the shootout between himself and police.

"What the f*ck, a guy just f*cking died," a person is heard saying from behind the camera. Gunshots began to ring out on the street, with citizens scattering. Officers are seen shooting in the direction of the white truck, which had crashed into a boom lift and had its driver door open, with one officer falling to the ground.

The videographer was seen ducking into a nearby business with other citizens as he yelled, "oh sh*t. Oh hell no!"

The FBI said in a Thursday press conference that they believe Jabbar acted alone and was "inspired" by ISIS but not "directed" by the terrorist organization. Jabbar rented the pickup truck in Houston on December 30 and drove to New Orleans on December 31. He posted several videos in which he proclaimed his support for ISIS. The FBI said that Jabbar had joined the terrorist organization "before this summer." Two IEDs were recovered from the area and an ISIS flag was recovered "from the back of the vehicle."

On Thursday partygoers went out on Bourbon Street in an act of defiance against the act of terror.

Mississippian Mark Beaden told the New York Post, "The big reason why we came is to spite them. The hell with ISIS." He added, They can kiss my a**, how about that."
