A teacher from Henrico County, Virginia has admitted to repeatedly having sex with a 14-year-old student in his home.

Megan Pauline Jordan, a married 25-year-old who taught at Hungary Creek Middle School, pleaded guilty to four counts of carnal knowledge of a minor and one count of indecent liberties of a minor, all of which are felonies. She is due to be sentenced on May 20, and faces up to 50 years in prison.

"During the 2022-23 school year, Ms. Jordan was having sexual relations with her 14-year-old student," Henrico County Commonwealth Attorney Shannon Taylor said in a statement, per WRIC. "On several occasions, Ms. Jordan would go to the victim's house and have sexual intercourse with the student. Her DNA was recovered from his bed linens."

Taylor recognized "the brave action of those who brought this matter to the attention of Henrico Police Division," adding, "We are always asking people if they see something unusual, or not quite right, to say something.

"Because of their efforts, this predator is off the streets, out of our schools, and will be held accountable for her actions."

Jordan was apprehended in June 2023 and originally charged with five counts of carnal knowledge of a minor and two counts of incident liberties with a minor.

As the New York Post reports, the school district said at the time that Jordan's arrest was "an extremely serious and upsetting situation," noting that officials had "communicated with families at the school and will continue to support our school community in any way needed.

A number of teens who claimed to have been former students of Jordan's said they noticed "something was wrong with her and the student's relationship," with one going so far as to accuse her of "grooming" him.
