Human Event's Daily's Jack Posobiec on Wednesday gave commentary on Biden's State of the Union speech, pointing out specifically what the president left out of it.
The speech has been roundly rejected by people on both the right side and the left side of the political spectrum, with some people calling it things such as "pathetic", others criticizing that he didn't talk at all about issues such as clemency for people petitioning the federal government.
Posobiec thanked Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for being the only one to mention Afghanistan, which Biden conveniently ignored. Boebert spoke out about the 13 soldiers killed in the botched withdrawal from that war-torn nation.
Posobiec said those soldiers were killed unnecessarily when the Kabul Airport was attacked during the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
"He got those 13 killed," he said of Biden, "he didn't even mention Afghanistan, didn't even have a moment of silence, he didn't have the families there ... he wants you to completely forget what he did to America on the world stage, and he wants to make you forget about the families of those fallen 13 that didn't have to die because they didn't have to be there in the first place."
As for Ukraine, Posobiec said "After for years, for years, saying 'I stand with Ukraine; the United States stands with Ukraine,' ... but when the Russians come, and the Russians decide that they have had enough for this ... what does Biden do? Is he gonna hashtag? Is he gonna wear a lapel pin?"
"... Show me some actual leadership, not just for the people of Ukraine, but for the United States as well," Posobiec said. "Where was it, in any point of that speech, that President Biden felt like he was the leader of the free world?"
"It didn't feel like he was the leader of anything," Posobiec noted on Human Events Daily.
Posobiec noted that Biden offered "... no solutions at all that would actually work, except 'we stand with you.'"
As to China, where the Winter Olympics just finished, Posobiec said leader Xi Jinping is about to become "dictator for life."
"Did you hear anything about that in the State of the Union? Did you hear any mention of it? Nothing, not a peep."
Posobiec then directs his attention to the fact that Russia currently has the option to "hook into the One Belt, One Road system," to skirt economic sanctions. "Does Biden have any plan to actually deal with that?"
"No he doesn't. Bought and sold." Similarly, Posobiec said that Biden's plan to fight inflation by simply printing money is also useless, since "we don't have a demand issue; we have a supply issue.
"This is ridiculous, and now we are in a state of disunion."
