Fox's Peter Doocy once again was firing questions at Jen Psaki on Friday during another White House press conference. The issue at hand was Kamala Harris's performance in solving the ongoing migratory crisis that is affecting the country.

Kamala had previously been tasked by President Joe Biden with handling the immigration issue.

"Is Vice President Harris still in charge of addressing the root causes of migration  from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala?"

(Kamala is still considered to be in charge of this, in fact. There was a petition on Jun. 20 2021 signed by 56 people in Congress to oust her from the role, but as of the time of this writing, nothing has happened to that regard.)

"She is. And, I just announced a commitment that she's announcing this afternoon."

"So, then why is it that she hasn't spoken to the president of Guatemala since June?"

"Well, I know that I did see this kind of strange report from the president of Guatemala, saying that he has had no contact with the White House, which is inaccurate."

The Guatemalan President, Alejandro Giammattei met with Kamala in Jun. 2021. Even at the time, he had no good things to say about her, or the meeting they had.

"He said that Vice President Harris, he hasn't spoken to her. And if she is in charge, why is that?"

"Well, we have had a range of conversations, Peter – I think that's reflected in our readout we put out last week –  with our national security adviser, with the vice-president's national security adviser, with our NSC Senior Director, Juan Gonzalez."

Psaki continued, "We put out an extensive readout of that just last week, and we will continue that high level of engagement."
